Company History

Founded in 2013, Voyage Hospitality works on the principles of offering our clients value propositions by leveraging business models with a focus on hospitality. Voyage Hospitality also offers innovative services with Hotels, Facility Management Services and Food Solutions.

In a short span we have consolidated a position in the hospitality segment by extending our services in Northeast Region of India. We currently have over 24820 room nights in a year.

Our objective is to create a unique brand value and also enhance business strategies in achieving the desired results. In effect we make your hospitality business a stand-alone project in the already competitive crowded market. We comprehend fully the expectations and requirements of the investor in eradicating the element of risks in their venture. While VH focuses primarily on management contracts, we think like owners because we operate hotels as well. We stay focused on the right areas: strong operations, brand relevance, strategic growth, and an aligned organization that stands out in the burgeoning domestic market. Rakesh Khandelwal

Chairman

With his career in hospitality beginning in 1999, Rakesh Khandelwal is a man of experience and expertise. With almost three long decades in the business of innovation and hospitality, he is a veteran and a champion of new initiatives. With a portfolio that boasts of many firsts, Rakesh Khandelwal is among the pioneers in the concept of private-public-partnership projects in the country. He is among the first few members who signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Forest Department in the state of Chhattisgarh to promote Eco Tourism, that is now one of the most flourishing industries of the state. A visionary, with a knack of understanding what succeeds versus what doesn't, he has since worked with many hotels and resorts bringing in the best ideas and work in operations.

A landscape consultant as well, Rakesh Khandelwal has worked towards building hugely successful projects like the Din Dayal Upadhyay Park and many other children parks. He was also responsible for the smooth and successful running of various Wildlife Sanctuary Resorts. With an experience so vast and long, he now brings that wisdom to Voyage Hospitality. With expertise in operations – through the years – under his management and consultancy, hotels and resorts have gained greater heights. Turning old and new properties and giving them the flow of a well-running hotel requires expert operation and leadership. Rahul Khandelwal

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The founder member of Voyage Hospitality, Rahul Khandelwal has a Masters in Marketing from the prestigious Liverpool University. With a degree in Hotel Management, his responsibilities include all the Marketing and Operational duties for the company. With a distinguished portfolio that carries some of the top names in the industry like Hyatt, Marriott Hotels, Leela Palace and Oberoi Hotels, Rahul Khandelwal has also worked with partner company of Microsoft, Software One, as a Sales and Marketing professional.

Under his consultancy, a list of hotels have achieved sound financial returns and his expertise has leveraged ordinary hotels to become few of the most sought-after names. A fine example would be the much coveted East India Award handed to Hotel New Orchid, Gangtok, for its stellar service, under his consultancy.

He has also been awarded by East India Magazine for pioneering the new concept in hospitality industry and for providing excellent management consultancy. With every project, his focus has been on providing the best service that there is to his business partners so that guests receive the same. His work is consultancy-focussed and marketing-driven, so that not only does every hotel – under his consultancy – gain success in everyday operations and service, but also becomes a stellar name in the industry.

With many years of work experience, he has the knack for bringing in the best financial returns to the business. Understanding the feasibility of the business, his budgeting and forecasting capabilities is here to ensure that every business, under his consultancy, receives the best of returns.

An associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Rohit Khandelwal works with all matters related to accounting, finance and taxation. With work expertise that lies in cost controlling and taxation, he has served the finest names in the world of finance like the acclaimed BDO MSZK & Associates. He also has other highly successful names in his portfolio of work, like Suresh Surana & Associates LLP, the sole Indian partner of RSM International and HDFC Bank Ltd.

With a diversified experience in the world of finance, Rohit Khandelwal looks after the revenue management of the hotels under Voyage Hospitality. His understanding of the business, gained through the many companies that he has learnt from, helps bring the best to Voyage Hospitality in terms of finance. Abhijit Ghosh

Director of Operations

With over ten years of experience in working with some of the best hotels in the country, Abhijit Ghosh brings his years of work for you through Voyage Hospitality. With expertise in the Food & Beverage Department, under his consultancy and management, he ensures smooth running of the hotel by meticulously planning, forecasting and executing food and beverage orders. Necessary things like dealing patiently with orders as well as planning alternative recipes for special needs go a long way in the hotel and resort business.

Having worked with the crème de la crème of the country like Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, The Leela Palaces and Conrad, Ghosh is adept at following food and safety regulations, looking after the logistics behind the kitchen, assisting events and creating restaurant policies. His resume also includes names like DLF and Hyatt regency, some of the truly finest that there is. Conducting audits and short and long-term planning of the F&B controlling and seeing pricing aspects, his calculations have brought in the best of profits for the clients.
